Support to the West Kingston Commission of Enquiry

The Support to the West Kingston Commission of Enquiry project was developed to facilitate implementation of community level activities in support of the West Kingston Commission of Enquiry into the May 2010 events in the community of Tivoli Gardens and its surrounding environs in West Kingston. The project is:

  • Supporting  the establishment and operationalization of the Commission of Enquiry by contributing to its effectiveness and credibility
  • Providing a platform for civil society organizations to engage in dialogue around key issues of the COE
  • Working to development of a longer term programme to enhance community safety

The activities under this project will be aligned with the ongoing Justice Undertakings for Social Transformation (JUST) Programme, and build on the results of the 'Parish Safety' project which closed in 2013.
