Gender Mainstreaming part of Country Implementation Plan (CIP) Process

UNDP DRR Dr. Elsie Laurence Chounoune, joined a diverse group of UN staff and other stakeholders (Government, private sector, NGOs) at the Courtleigh Hotel, on 23 August, to formulate the Country Implementation Plan for the Environment/Resilience Results Group of the UN Multi-Country Sustainable Development Framework (UNMSDF). Stakeholders in this Results Group, also tackled the need for integrating human rights and gender mainstreaming activities, in order to reach their target goal: A resilient Caribbean – Integrating Human Rights.

The CIP Process involves national consultations, on-line surveys, regional prioritization workshops, Steering Committees / Results Groups and UN consultations, all aimed at achieving the regional development outcomes of the UN MSDF.
