Gender

“Gender Equality is more than a goal in itself. It is a precondition for meeting the challenge of reducing poverty, promoting sustainable development and building good governance.” The promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women is central to the mandate of UNDP and intrinsic to its development approach. This effort includes advocating for women’s/girls’ and men’s/boy’s equal rights, combatting discriminatory practices and challenging the roles and stereotypes that affect inequalities and exclusion.
