    The President of the Executive Board of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on Wednesday, 19 April welcomed the appointment of Achim Steiner as the Organization’s new Administrator.Mr. Steiner’s nomination was forwarded to the General Assembly, which Wednesday confirmed him as the Administrator of UNDP for a term of four years.

    Jamaica became the 143rd country to ratify the Paris Agreement today (11th April) when Minister without Portfolio in the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation, Hon. Daryl Vaz officially presented the instrument of ratification today at a national climate change event in Kingston.
