Over the next five year period, UNDP CO aims to develop and promote efficiency in energy use and to pilot sources of clean or renewable energy. Energy efficiency should be of benefit to all in the society, but especially the poor and should result in the reduction of carbon emissions. The strategy will support the Government of Jamaica in the development, implementation and monitoring of the National Energy Policy, and develop demonstration projects with stakeholders to increase energy efficiency in Various Sectors The initiation plan will support the formulation of a full scale project on energy efficiency, with expected results including:
