Garden Update #3

Fellow Urban Gardeners:

It has been a while since the last communication and you may have realized that some of our earlier efforts have gotten away from us. Never-the-less, like all good farmers, we overcome our setbacks and continue onwards. Two lessons that we have learnt are:

  1. Gardens require regular attention!
  2. Quality seedlings are needed to grow quality produce.

On the plus side, we have expanded our activities.

Calaloo, more tomato plants, green peppers and corn have been planted in the beds near the wall.

Sweet pepper and The Sweet Basil, parsley and celery are doing very well. Does anyone have recipes to share?

4 square foot boxes have been constructed for growing herbs and plants with deeper root systems.

The mystery seeds (cabbage? Lettuce?) sown a few weeks ago by Bob have produced a healthy crop of seedlings which were replanted last week.
