Garden Update #4

Fellow Gardeners:

At last we begin the harvest! Escallion, sweet peppers, tomatoes, sweet basil,
celery and calaloo!

The corn is coming along slowly but doing well.

Our tomatoes were being affected by bottom rot, due primarily to an irregular watering regime, but we are sorting out this problem. Bottom rot can be fairly common with tomatoes grown by urban gardeners. An information page is being circulated.

-Beet root and onion seedlings in the square foot gardens, hot peppers in the beds alongside the building and some more lettuce in the vertical stands.

-Sorrel and Gungo peas in the beds by the wall.

See you in the garden!
