Integrated with photos, result snapshots and testimonials, the 2019 Annual Report of the United Nations Development Programme Multi Country Office in Jamaica outlines progress secured across more than a dozen projects in Sustainable Development, Crisis Prevention and Recovery and Democratic Governance. In 2019 the Multi Country Office remained focused on improving the institutional capacities of Government agencies to enhance citizen safety and security, reduce social and economic insecurities by targeting vulnerable groups; enhancing gender equality, support justice reform; advancing the SDGs; enhancing resilience to climate change and disasters and improving management of biodiversity. At the core of our human-centred strategy is expanding partnerships and working with a diversity of partners, including private sector and civil society organizations towards achieving desired outcomes with interventions at the national, local and community levels.
